Referrals are received directly from other Cardiac rehab centres, particulary the Royal Sussex County in Brighton and London hospitals. Consultants can refer directly if they have a patient who has a particular need and occasionally GP's refer. The nurses use their clinical judgement to assess each patients suitability. Patients can also self refer if appropriate.
